Expanding from the idea from my monthly note to investors going in: [WIP]
"One of the biggest marketing lie ever told to a retail trader and investor is that they can easily trade the stock markets or whatever markets by learning a few things here and there. They are frequently told that with good investor education they can start earning money in the markets.
What a wonderful illusion! Imagine a banker, doctor or a teacher punting markets as pass-time observing few simple rules and making tons of money. Make a million in your lunch hour!
If only learning and trading markets were that easy*. Professionals who have spent decades and years honing their skills at the game are still learning that - full time, and here you have a "Cinderella dream" that learning a tiny-bity can make somebody a great trader and investor. What a lie!
Its not just a coincidence that this lie gains ground more and more when the online trading picks up steam. Its easy to sell the online trading systems to the trader / investor and teach them (if at all) few rudimentary techniques to blow their mind off. Soon the investors head to battle with a blunt knife. Of course, they won't know it until they have landed in the battlefield. Many won't be back to complain, they always think its they who did something wrong.
Honestly, its a brutal game. Takes years of hard work, sacrifice and training. Sometime we truly wish it was as easy as it is made out to be. Thankfully, there are times, when it is much easier and there are times when its like tunneling with nails. But one thing for sure, people who have survived and succeeded at it are handful. And be very sure of one thing, it din't come easy. And most certainly, it din't come by working on it part-time or on the ride home."
*[Actually it is but its a different take - Zen is the simplest thing and the most difficult to discover.]
