Stock markets are in a volatile phase. One of the real dangers in the volatile times like this is, all the systems will take some time to adjust to this. But most of the systems will fail repeatedly.
One mistake that even a experienced person can make is to abandon the system or try and tweak. Once the volatility reduces and the markets regain their former trend the systems will work fine. But if there are tweaks in the system designed to work in volatile markets, these systems would not be able to correctly signal the start of the trend.
