Of David and Goliath - Arvind Kejriwal


There is one man I have developed a grudging admiration over past few weeks, its Arvind Kejriwal.

I haven’t been around since biblical years but this definitely looks like a David against Gollaith. At the outset it seems like a futile exercise with no chance or possibility of winning. But this Kejirwal guy has been a pretty persistent nag.

Guys who know me know how critical I have been on Anna’s campaign tactics. Kejriwal is following just the same methods. He is practically expecting the system to shoot itself so that it give way to new system. That is very optimistic to say the least.

This guy has taken on the whole system with nothing but idealism. I don’t think he even has a tactic. Dharna, gherao etc are not tactics. What will it ever lead to? Go around the country there are hundreds of dharnas going on for months and years. Once the politicians are over the novelty factor the presence won’t even register with them.

Davids emerge from such high odds. Davids are not created when sailing in smooth and odds are high. There are few things that they need to succeed and definite one among them is persistence. Kejriwal seems to be highly motivated to be very persistent possibly for years to come. That gives him his best chance to succeed in toppling the current debauched systems.
